Hi all,
I've been tearing my hair out with this issue.  Ever since I installed a 1TB Samsung Evo 840 SSD into my new ThinkPad Yoga, I've had an issue where I'll close my laptop to put it to sleep, but the ThinkPad LED light remains lit and I hear the fans spinning.  It obviously did not go to sleep.  When I open the laptop again, the screen is black, and the computer is unresponsive.  The only way I can regain control is to hold the power button until the laptop does a hard reset.
I am just about ready to reformat the entire laptop and start from scratch, but I'm hoping someone has had experience with this type of issue and knows what to do.  I've experimented with removing the Samsung Magician software that optimizes the SSD, but even without the software installed I still have this issue.  Keep in mind, sometimes the laptop will successfully go to sleep, it doesn't happen every time, and I can't find anything in the Event Viewer to target a specific problem.
Thanks again for the help!

Seems to be a common problem with Lenovo. Just doing a search I found these from the Lenovo forums. It seems that updating the BIOS and drivers works for some but Lenovo is aware of the problem.

The above link mentions the last post in this thread. Hope it helps.
