Unable to install the Java 8 update 25.  My system is Windows 7, Home Premium, Service Pack 1.  When I tried to install the update using google chrome I received error code:  1603.  I've tried installing turning off my virus protection and it still kept giving me that same error code.  I deleted the downloads in my download files and I tried installing using iexplorer 11 and it seems as though I got further on the install, but it still couldn't get it complete.  It says it can't finish installing until I close the open files:  jp2launcher.exe  jp2launcher.exe  says I have 2 of those files open.  I can't seem to figure out where they are open at in my java.

Can anyone help me solve this issue..

Thank you :bubbles: Jojo

Did you save the download to your desktop...and then install from the desktop?

FWIW:  Turning off your AV is not a good idea, IMO.

Yes, I did download it to my desktop several times and now I've uninstalled the update.  I keep getting the error code:  1603

Sometimes I've had to turn off my virus protection when installing java updates in the past, I've tried everything I can think of.  I appreciate your replying

Thanks Jojo
