Hi dear all,
I have big problems getting rid of what I think is malware on my Firefox browser. Feels like I've been trying everything, so let's test this forum as well
I get a lot of ads and unwanted "links" in my web page content... After I go to a web page, it's like my web page refreshes, and populates links and ads in the content. It doesn't happen immediately, but the refresh starts after 2-3 seconds... When holding mouse-over these "links" i get an ad popup.. Also when trying to follow links, which "aren't affected", Firefox starts even more ad windows.
The intresting part in my problem is that only my Firefox browser has these problems. My IE and Chroome works fine, and my Windows and computer as well. I also has two Windows accounts (8.1) on my laptop, and I use the Firefox browser through both Windows accounts... But Firefox works well at my other account, so it must be a problem with Firefox on only one Windows account. Firefox is installed at a regular file directory; "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox".
So, I've been trying to re-install Firefox, uninstall and install again, I have made full scans through my Symantec Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware without resolving the problem. I have googled this a hundred times and tested tools such as AdwCleaner, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Junkware Removal Tool and HitmanPro.
Please tell me that you have other suggestions apart from what I already have tried...
Thanks in advance for your replies.
