So I have a Lenovo G505s and I have gotten Minecraft with optifine, terraria, and, Tf2 to work on it but I wonder will any higher end games work on it or will I need new hardware?

Hey dmolken,

Your G505s (if it is the same one as http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834312829) has an AMD Raedon HD 8650G. This is an middle to lower end graphics chip. You can play other games, but mostly will be on low settings. Check out this notebook check review on it.

Is it possible to upgrade the hardware? If so how?

Unfortunately there is no way to upgrade most laptop graphics. They are directly soldered to the laptop motherboard. Only way is to get another laptop.

Hmm.. Ok The only problem is that I don't have money to spend. This is the most expensive laptop I could get. If I get a new computer is there any way I could get one for under $500?
