When I run ADWcleaner it tags a couple of registry entries.  I "clean" them and the report generated when my computer restarts indicates they were deleted.  But if I immediately run ADWcleaner again, it shows they are still there and tagged for removal.

I have attached the report indicating the entries in question were deleted. But in fact they show up again.  Perhaps they are automatically installed whenever Windows starts.  This problem just began.  Possibly related to the latest Windows update.

I suspect they are for tracking usage. How can they be permanently deleted?

Hi JJJJJJ

Welcome to BleepingComputer.com

Those two registry entries are related to Do Not Track Plus and Google Toolbar.

You can remove Google toolbar  see here

As noted by tenisverma

{6e45f3e8-2683-4824-a6be-08108022fb36} = Do Not Track Plus

{2318C2B1-4965-11D4-9B18-009027A5CD4F} = Google Toolbar (However, older malware reported in 2011 was known to use that CLISD)

In some cases AdwCleaner may detect items related to legitimate programs...just ignore such detections.

Thanks. Since I use both Do Not Track and Google I will just ignore those two tags.
