Hello, i am wondering if Athlon 64 X2 with Dual Core technology up to 5600+ (up to 89 watt) would work with this motherboard MCP61PM-HM (Nettle2) ?, also does it matter if my computer is 32bit or 64bit to use this processor.

According to HP's motherboard specifications here it should work.  The processor in this case determines whether or not your computer is 64-bit compatible or not.  The Athlon 64 X2 is considered a 64-bit part.  If you are not already operating a 64-bit version of Windows, you will need to install it to gain any 64-bit functionality.  However, a 32-bit installation of Windows will still work.
