I have a Kodak Camera C1505 and with everything I have found says I do not need the software to look at memory card
This is from Kodak's site
For a computer with WINDOWS Operating System: NOTE: Because of the type of user interface for WINDOWS 8 OS, you can follow the prompts when you connect your camera's USB cable or insert a memory card in the instructions below. Instructions specific to WINDOWS 8 OS are not provided here.
Make sure the power to your camera is off.
Do one of the following:
Connect your camera to the computer using the USB cable that came with your camera, then turn on the power to your camera.
Remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into a memory card reader (either built in to the computer or externally connected to the computer).
When a dialog box appears:
For WINDOWS XP OS, click Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard, click OK, then follow the prompts.
For WINDOWS VISTA OS, click Import pictures, then follow the prompts.
For WINDOWS 7 OS, click Import pictures and videos using Windows, then follow the prompts.
If a dialog box does not appear, you can import your pictures and videos to your computer using WINDOWS Explorer:
Click My Computer (or Start > My Computer) to start WINDOWS Explorer.
Right-click either your digital camera or the memory card, then follow the prompts to import your pictures

But it does not have that option when I do that. And whenever I try to install the software I get script error And when I click the button option I get the folder for the app and not the sd card. I have screenshots if I need to post them not sure how

When you attach  your camera to the computer, does it show in "Devices and Printers"?

Are you able to access the memory card of the camera by double clicking it?

Does your computer have a card reader? If it does, remove the memory card and see if your computer detects it.

I would recommend one of these for use with USB. I have used one similar and can read Memory cards without a problem.

Edit:From what I have read Koday no longer supports Easy Share software and the download is no longer available on their site.

Here is a download page for the Kodak easyshare software. It would be the first file shown for Win 7/Win 8 Share Button Software.

When you install it use compatibility mode.

Use Option two From the Desktop or Windows Explorer

Select windows 7 in the dropdown box.

Do this with the camera not attached. After downloading and installing the software, reboot and then attach your camera. Hopefully it will work. If not then I do not know what the problem is.

Edit: You can also try to bid on a card reader and hopefully get it for a cheaper price, maybe for $1.

Detach the camera. Enable Autoplay.

Make sure Autoplay is On.

Attach the camera and see if a Autoplay window appears.

You can't simply right click on the device's icon in your Computer area, and choose "open" to browse its letter drive?

According to your manual here, you need to install the share button software. This is not EasyShare but software needed for the OS to recognize the camera.
