where can i download a windows xp professional install ISO ???

You can't. Did you have trouble updating XP in your other thread?

You can't. Did you have trouble updating XP in your other thread?

 

 

no, this is for a different computer.....so i cant download an ISO file to create a bootable USB drive like i have done previously for windows 7?

I do not know of anywhere you can download it legally. For some reason Microsoft allows it for Windows 7 and for Windows 8. Windows 8 if you provide a key. Maybe Microsoft thinks it's too easy to bypass XP's activation.

 

Outside of finding an XP disk on ebay, you would need to install some linux distro on it.

oh okay thanks,

 

not trying to bypass activation or do anything illegal, i have a valid product key,

 

i have downloaded windows 7 ISO and installed it with a valid product key in the past, so i just assumed it would be the same procedure for XP, but i guess not.....thanks for your help once again

I don't know the forum rules about WIndows XP but I believe I am not allowed to link to any XP iso files. You will have to do a Google search. Something like Windows XP sp3 iso. I can only say you have to be very careful what you download from third party sites. Many of these sites post iso's that have malware placed in the iso files.
