I'm pretty sure something is wrong with IE.  I've notice it's going slower than normal and acting weird.  Sometimes I'll get an "Internet Exporler has stopped working error" but what is most alarming is this.

Attached File  Internet Explorer options.jpg   88.99KB   0 downloads

I tried cleaning my computer with CCleaner but it take way longer than usual to clean the temp folder.  I have 360 Total Security and it says there's no viruses.  I ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and it cleaned one virus.  I ran Adware Cleaner and it didn't clean much at all.  I reset IE settings and it showed the security options but after awhile it went back to what is shown in the picture.  I deleted the registry entries for IE safe zone to reset it and it worked at first but again went back to what's shown in the picture.

Any idea?  Thanks!  I really appreciate your guy's help.

Also, is running a program with administator privileges the same as "Run as administrator"?

I just got another "Internet Explorer has stopped working" error and IE wasn't even opened.  I'm using FireFox right now.

I also ran the Rkill tool a few days ago.  It didn't seem like it would hurt.  It said there's symptoms of zeroacess.

Hi nasdaq, thank you for you help.  I really appreciate it.  I use very complicated programs on computers a lot, yet I still feel the computer itself is one of the most confusing things man has ever created.  I recently removed a powelik virus but I felt it would be good idea to get help in order to ensure my computer is safe.  I've notice now there's two reports that mention zeroaccess.  I'm sure this is something I should be concerned about.

Noting to be worry about.

One last scan.

Download Security Check by screen317 from here
  • Save it to your Desktop.
  • Double click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
  • A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.
p.s.
If the SecurityCheck program fails to run for any reason, run it as an Administrator.

If the site is busy or not available use this mirror site:

Your version of Java is outdated and needs to be updated to take advantage of fixes that have eliminated security vulnerabilities.
The latest version is Java 7 Update 71 for the 32 bit Operating system.
Java 8 Update 25 for the 64 bit Operating system.

You can manually check your present version and update as recommended.
https://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

Be careful not to install malware posing as Java update!
Important read this blog.

Quoted from the page.
"In light of the recent events surrounding Java, users must seriously consider their use of Java. Do they really need it? If yes, make sure that users follow the steps we recommended and get the security update directly from the official oracle website." at:

If present remove the old version(s) of Java using the Add/Remove Programs applet.

I've done everything except restore to the last good configuration.  I'm not sure I can if it's related to the system restore because I've been kind of a procrastinator with creating a restore point   for a year or two.  It's probably something I ought to do soon.

I don't really see a difference from yesterday but I feel my computer is running as it should.
