Anyone have any suggestions for a malware program other than MWBAM? I don't know what's going on with them other than trying to sell their product but their popups, reminders and other crap has really gotten annoying. It seems I can't go for five minutes without a window of some sort opening up wanting me to purchase their product. When I turn my computer on, that's the first thing that pops up. I've used MWBAM for years but now I'm ready to change to something that isn't quite as annoying.

As always, thanks for the info.

If you are using the free version of Malwarebytes...there is no need for it to run at startup as you can use it as a stand-alone scanner. Just right-click on the system tray icon and uncheck start with Windows.

BTW, the malwarebytes team is very much aware of your complaints as they have been made by many users. They are in the process of addressing all those concerns in the next version release. You can read about that in this topic...UI Changes for Malwarebytes 2.1.

Alternatively, there is always Emsisoft Anti-Malware.
