Hello,

I'm not really sure what's wrong with my desktop, but I have been getting the blue screen of death several times in the past few weeks. I am running Windows 7. I've never had this issue before and the Desktop isn't that old either. I ran some scans with Avast and Malwarebytes, but they did not seem to detect anything that was a huge threat. I'm not really sure what to do at this point or how to approach my problem.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Thanks!

Welcome aboard p22002758.gif

Download BlueScreenView
Unzip downloaded file.
Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

It looks like bckd.sys file is involved.

It belongs to K9 Web Protection: http://www1.k9webprotection.com/

Do you use such program?

Thank you so much for helping me figure that out!

I was able to uninstall the application, but sometimes when I boot up my system, it freezes after the BIOS i think. It shows the ASRock symbol, but then my computer freezes at this point. It is rare, but it happens maybe 10% of the time. Any idea what that might be?
