Help desk support when problems come up and "how to" type support related to installs, upgrades, crashes, performance, etc.

As the man said - here, and it's free. We may not have all of the answers but I expect that we know where to find them. We're all volunteers so we may not be as timely as a paid service. So, we'll be here when you need us. Til then

If you need live support where you can interact in real time with experts, then you may hang out at BleepingComputer IRC channel. IRC is not really popular these days, so if you are lucky, you will find someone to help you there. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/chat/

Also not related to BleepingComputer, but you can visit PCTech or some other PC help rooms on Paltalk. There is always someone willing to provide you help and you can actually talk to them over the microphone and show them the live video  of what is happening in your PC. Its free. The only problem is that sometimes newbies start to give advice there.

Other than that, commercial help is not really available in "how to" form. These guys just do everything for yourself from virus removal to installing software - without telling you how to do. If they tell you everything, it is counterproductive to their business. To find such help Google them for your local area or find them on craigslist.

PS: be very careful of Craig's list. Bad things have happened there.

Still think your best bet is on this site.I cannot tell you how much I have learned from here.I try to read everything even though it does not pertain to me all the time. The folks here are fantastic and are always willing to help anyone. If you combine all the folks here and there knowledge,no better place.
