Hello, I am having a problem with my dvd player. I just build a new comp. and I stole the dvd drive from my old computer. The drive reads cd-roms fine BUT it can't seem to read dvd's. For example, when I insert my Call of Duty 2 dvd the player comes up with a pos up window after about a minute,it reads: "stream read error", then after I click OK on that box, another one pops up reading " Access violation at address 0050B3 in module 'cod2.exe' Read of address 00000018". I don't know how to make sense of this. I need help. The dvd player didn't come with any software disk, so that can't be the problem. Sometimes the Autorun starts up, then when I click INSTALL it stalls and the same messages pops up. Hears another example, I put in my dvd F.E.A.R. The Autorun works but when I click install, this message pops up "unable to launch the installer D:\setup.exe". I'm running windows Xp. Any help would be great. Thankyou for reading through my long post. cheers..
