I have an Acer Aspire 5732 laptop from 2009. It has recently started to run very slowly. The only way I have got to tis site is using safe mode. Can you help?

Use AdwCleaner and Junkware Removal Tool to remove junk.

Disable unneeded startup programs (I use CCleaner for that). Be careful not to disable important Windows processes.

Run a scan with your antivirus to ensure that there is nothing lurking on your system and using up resources.

Defragment your hard drive - my choice is Defraggler. Don't do it if you are using a SSD though.

Edit: Tips for cleaning up a slow computer can be found here. If you need any specialized help then please post in the Am I Infected section - the staff there are better equipped to deal with things better than I am.
