Hello -

First - Are all the BSOD dumps been the same, or are there a variety of results ??

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.

The crash took place in the Windows kernel. So possibly this problem is caused by a driver which cannot be identified without more dump details.

Do you have any more dumps or details ??

Thanks -

the dumps have been different, but the problem is that some of them dont leave dumps and seem to be stuck on the blue screen without restarting.

i took pictures of the error codes and drivers that are causing the problems and don't have dump files

one of the pictures looks like the graphics card failed so im leaning towards it being a hardware issue

both of these didn't have bug check strings

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is not an Antivirus it is just an Antimalware program.

You do not have any Antivirus program installed -

Download Screen317 Security Check from Here or Here and save it to your Desktop.

  • Double-click SecurityCheck.exe
  • Follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
  • A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt
  • Please Copy/Paste the contents of that document.

Note 1:: If any security program requests permission to access the Internet, allow it to
Note 2. If you receive UNSUPPORTED OPERATING SYSTEM! ABORTED! message, (or similar) restart computer and Security Check should run

Great jobs -

I think that you have just let a few things slip lately, and these can cause your problems (not always, but this is a start).

Do you normally use Chrome, and will you be re-installing it again ?? This is a bit important due to matching programs.

I know it is about 1.00 AM over there, so do you wish to leave this until your morning. Since it is only 5 PM here at the time.

Remember it is always your choice, as we are from many areas in the planet

We will still have a couple of programs to run (may take another hour or so), so I was just looking after you ........

Thanks -

I just want you to be comfy and not give up too quick with this. How are you going, as a few extra links are here. Before you begin
Notes
  • For general information about service packs, go to the Service Pack Center webpage on the Windows website.

  • For technical information about SP1, such as release notes and the SP1 deployment guide, go to the Windows 7 Service Pack 1 resources webpage on the Microsoft TechNet website.

As always, please keep us informed.

The items above are if you got stuck, and then to turn on Auto - Updates, as you will have missed a few.from SP1.

Keep me informed, as I have a few other topics that I am looking after.

A quick cleanup often helps also -

Please download and run RKill by Grinler.
A black DOS box will appear for a short time and then disappear.
This is normal and indicates the tool ran successfully.
At most the tool will usually run for about 2 minutes
Please Copy / Paste the small log back here.

Do not reboot your computer until you complete the next step.

 NOW :

  • Download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop.
  • Double-click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
     * Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.
  • Click on the Scan button (only once)
  • AdwCleaner will begin...be patient as the scan may take some time to complete.
  • After the scan has finished, click on the Report button only once for accuracy.
  • A report (AdwCleaner[R0].txt) will open in Notepad for your review.
  • Check the listed removals and see if you are OK with them.
  • If you have questions, post the Report log back here.

 Next

  • Click on the Clean button only once for accuracy
  • Press OK when asked to close all programs and follow the onscreen prompts.
  • Press OK finally to allow AdwCleaner to Restart the computer and complete the removal process.
  • After rebooting, a log report (AdwCleaner[S0].txt) will open automatically.
Copy and Paste the contents of that log in your next reply.

Note: With most Adware / Junkware / PUPs it is strongly recommended to deal with it like a legitimate program and uninstall from Programs and Features or Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. In many cases, using the uninstaller of the adware not only removes the adware more effectively, but it also restores any changed configuration. After uninstallation, then you can run specialized tools like AdwCleaner and JRT to fix any remaining entries they may find.

Please keep Malwarebytes and can you Update it, and run a scan. See below. This is "general" or for those without it installed -

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware If installed, please update it.

  • Follow the simple directions to install the program to desktop
  • Right click and choose "Run as administrator" to open Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and from the Dashboard please Check for Updates by clicking the Update Now... link
  • Open up Malwarebytes > Settings > Detection and Protection > Enable Scan for rootkit and Under Non Malware Protection set both PUP and PUM to Treat detections as malware.
  • Click on the SCAN button and run a Threat Scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware by clicking the Scan Now>> button.
  • If you find malware and tick it to remove it, you may be asked th re-boot the computer to finish cleaning.
  • Once completed please click on the History > Application Logs and find your scan log and open it and then click on the "copy to clipboard" button and post back the results on your next reply.

Once you post those 3 sets of logs, please run this Temp File Cleaner.

Please download Temp File Cleaner by Old Timer
Usage Instructions:[list]1.Download TFC from the download link above and save the file on your desktop.
2.Close ALL running applications as TFC will terminate them before attempting to clean up the temporary files.
3.Double-click on the TFC icon.
4.When the program opens, click on the Start button.  TFC will terminate the Explorer process and all running applications and then begin the process of cleaning out all of your temp folders.
5.When done, press OK > Exit, and reboot your computer and finish the cleanup..............
Note: After removing temp files, the computer may show to be slow than usual, but it will improve once the cache is rebuild.

Thank You -

Please also try to open and post the AdwCleaner[S1].txt - [3178 octets] - [05/12/2014 17:48:00]

This was run about 6.00PM yesterday, and will include the correct cleanup log

[S1] was the AdwCleaner run that contained / removed any problems.

Note : [S1] = [3178 octets], and [S2] = [1013 octets]

there was nothing that was changed or altered in the rkill logs

This may be correct, but a word or number often can tell us something that is hidden (so we ask it to be Copy / Pasted here).

2 given solutions (mine and Microsoft)

Do a normal shutdown and then bring the system back up; = Full Reboot.

  • Go to Start and right-click on Computer. Then click on Properties. If you see (4th or 5th line down) Service Pack 1, then you are done. Presumably you will not see that line.

It is often the Language Display packs that create the problem.

  • Go to Start, Control Panel, Region and Language > Keyboards and Languages > Install/Uninstall Languages > Uninstall display languages. Then click EVERY language there, except English.
  • Then uninstall. This process will take about 1 hour, maybe longer.
  • Your computer will probably reboot after this process is finished, but if not, do a reboot.

  • Go to Start, Control Panel, Windows Update. You should see SP1 still listed there. Click on it and install it. All (or most) of the files that SP1 needs for its configuration are already in place from your earlier failed install, and the installation will go faster than the first time. The process does have (heart stopping) pauses, where it seems that nothing is happening, but just be patient and let it go through its paces. The system will reboot when the blue line is all the way to the right, and Windows 7 will come up, and will continue to configure SP1, so it is a slow process.

  • You will, however, not see those fast-moving lines: "Applying update operation nnn of nnn" until an error stops the process, but instead there will be a "nn% complete" display. Let it do its thing without interference.
  • This also will take some time. You may confirm that you now have SP1 installed by repeating step 1 above.
  • You can now also re-install one or more display languages by repeating step 4, and after clicking on Install / Uninstall languages, install the languages you need.

Run System File Check from an Elevated Command Prompt

  • Open Elevated Command Prompt as per directions
  • Type sfc /scannow and press Enter (note the space between c and / it must be there)
  • (On average). This should not take longer than 20 minutes to finish

NOTE : Do not touch the keyboard while this is running

If nothing works, I will give you a Full new Direct version link ..................

Thank You.
