How can we protect ouer computers?

I am looking into ways that we can protect our computers. I have had ideas taken from me when I went to invent help and think tanks, into using (swipe card), at soda, snack outlets.

What exactly do you mean by "protect your computer", online or just plain physical access?

What exactly do you want to protect them from?

What operating system is used on the computers now?

Are they client machines to a server?
