I'm not sure how long it's been missing as I hardly ever use it .This is a Windows 7 64 bit operating system. I tried reinstalling it a few times. Tried it in safe mode, also.Install starts up, then see progress bar, nothing happens and install shuts down with no change.Hopefully, someone will have some ideas.

Open Windows 7 Control Panel, Change View by from Category to Small icons.

Click the Programs and Features Icon.

Look in the left panel of the opened window and click View installed Updates.

Scroll down the list, find and select Internet Explorer 11.

Click Uninstall on the toolbar, answer Yes to the UAC prompt.

When the Uninstall completes, Reboot the computer.

Thanks to you. Old Rocker. I must have been half asleep because I had looked at the installs and didn't even see it in there. Problem resolved, which is good because I need it for my work connection, otherwise I don't use it.
