Windows 8.1

I am able to view photo thumbnails in all of my folders on my hard drive, but on any USB I must manually change each folder to view thumbnails instead of icons. The common fix of going into Windows' folder options, to view and to apply does not work for the USB. I checked and I have the default set for thumbnails and not icons. Thanks.

Try going to Tools menu - Foler Options in Windows Explorer then go to View tab. In advanced settings, checkmark or toggle between Always show icons, never thumbnails. Hit Apply, Ok.
