Upgrading laptop

Hi I have built pc and all not not really messed with laptop, my question is i have a Lenovo Z575 i was trying to get the best performance out of it. I put the max ram in it of 8gb. what else can I do to make it perform better you think going with a ssd hard drive and if possible can you upgrage the cpu on this to something faster is so what would you suggest thanks.

The only two things you can really do with a laptop is swap out the drives and the RAM.  Due to the custom nature of laptop hardware, everything else is largely not upgradable.  Getting an SSD should certainly help performance with loading files and the operating system.  You will probably not be able to easily upgrade the CPU, however.
