Hi,

Can't find this anywhere, but maybe I am not using the correct search terms.

When my Tab 2 10.1 running 4.2.2 returns from Sleep Mode, there is a swipe screen.

Is there any way to disable this so that when I return from sleep I am directly on my home page?

Also, while brains are being exercised, can anyone tell me how to do a screen capture?  (If I do a Google Image Search and want to capture the results).

I used to do this often but I have forgotten how I did it.

thanks

Hoges

Can anyone tell me how to do a screen capture?

It depends on what phone you are using. For Samsung Galaxy it is different than most other phones.

Not a phone, Tab 2 10.1.  I just forget how to do it.

Screen capture http://www.samsung.com/us/support/faq/FAQ00051357/56829/

Screen swipe, try this
Settings/Lock Screen/Screen Lock. Set to NONE.

Re the Screen Capture problem - I remember having a button on the bottom at the left that took a screen capture.

It is missing from my tablet now.

Anyone know why?  And if it is a deliberate "upgrade", how do I do it now?

regards

Hoges

From the Samsung website:

There are two methods available for taking screen captures from your device:

Note: Not all of these options are available. It depends on the version of software you are running on the device.

Since your screenshot icon is now gone. My guess is there was a software 'upgrade' that removed it. Or it was accidentally deleted but can be put back as the following instructions suggest.

How do I take Screenshots on my Samsung Galaxy Tab® 2 (10.1)?

Hi,
thanks for the help but:-
I do not have the category "quick launch" after "Display" so the button can't be installed.
No combination of Power/Anything produces a camera click.

It is still not possible to take screen shots.

From my point of view, this is one of my most used resources.
I am in a foreign country (it varies) for 10 months of any year and being able to show pictures when
i need a part or item is invaluable as I have no wifi once I leave the boat.

why don't these developer clowns just leave well enough alone?
