Can same MB have a new (2nd) OEM install with new hard drive?

When I built this computer i used an OEM win7.  Having problems after 4 years and am wondering if I can install another OEM with a new hard drive but same Mother board?

"OEM" means System Builder version?

 

Certainly, as long as you have a valid license for that version of Windows.

 

I suggest that you disconnect all hard drives other than the one on which you intend to install the newer version of Windows...to avoid confusion.  That way, each hard drive will have its own set of boot files for the O/s on it.

 

Once the install is complete, then you will need to install the drivers applicable to that motherboard.
