How do I make a full width Meta Slider fit across the home page in WordPress?

I've put a Meta Slider on my home page in WordPress, but now I want to try if I can fit it across the whole page at 100%. I'm not sure how to go about doing it though. Do I need to do something in the header or functions.php page first?
