Driver recovery

My wife keeps getting a message appear on her laptop saying "Driver Recovery not working". Other  symptoms are loss of the wireless mouse control and jumps from one game to another. whether these symptoms are all related I don't know. I've tried looking up Driver recovery but can't work out what to do.
