Hey all, I am trying to disable McAfee from Startup but according to my net searches here suggests that win8 does not have the Msconfig?

I looked at McAfee's setting and not seeing any options to disable from startup, any ideas please?

Thanks but still no option to permanently disable, only uninstall which is not what I need, reason being I wish to try out another AV software for a month so don't wish to uninstall McAfee.

permanently disable....No.

Temporarily disable....Yes

Uninstall....Yes.

Personally, I would uninstall.

Not sure if this is correct for your version. You have the option of selecting Never for the time frame you want Mcafee to resume.

Too late now, I can't remember if that option was there but if it was then I may have misunderstood what it meant by the "never" option.
