A buddy is installing Comdo on his computer and I see that he already has antivirus icons on his desktop that are still active like Mc Affee and AVG.

Should he uninstall and remove these other antivurus programs if he is going to use Comodo?  If he leaves these in place could they interfere with Comodo?

Thanks,

Harkcomp

Yes your friend should uninstall any other antivirus applications before installing Comodo. Running multiple antivirus applications can cause conflicts.

Oooops.....he has already installed Comodo and will be un-installing the others. Is it alright for him to just uninstall the other two AFTER installing Comodo, or should he first uninstall Comodo plus the others and then reinstall Comodo?

He reasoned that by uninstalling the others first that his computer would then go unprotected during the Comodo install.

Keep the one antivirus he wants to run and uninstall the other in Programs and Features in the Control Panel.
