I'm not sure what happened, but I ran an Online scan at Eset and it removed (deleted) a couple of files in the Temp folder that referenced a toolbar. Now, when I boot the computer I get this error: "Windows cannot find PDF Creator.exe Make sure you typed  correctly and try again."

** I also (just recall) uninstalling the pdfforge toolbar in change/uninstall earlier today after I received the error the first time.

I use AVG and Malware Bytes and Google Chrome Browser (default).

My sytem is:

Windows 8.1 (64 bit)

AMD A10-6700 APU with Radeon HD 370 GHz

RAM: 8 GHz

Thanks for any help.

I installed and uninstalled the program again and the error appears to be gone.

However, if someone would like to advise / double check / help me be sure, that would be awesome, too.

ESET Online scanner aggressively searches for and removes Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) .

Calendar Of Updates Installers Hall of Shame

* PDFCreator - Yahoo Toolbar. Thanks to member sharp. Updated: Also offers PDFforger Toolbar and Widgi Toolbar (mybrowser bar).

Since PDFCreator bundles third-party software...the detection is not an infection in the typical sense...but is more accurately classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) (Adware) which does not fall in the same category as malicious files such as viruses, Trojans, worms, rootkits and bots. A PUP is a very broad threat category which can encompass any number of different programs to include those which are benign as well as problematic. If you recognize a security scanner's detection of legitimate software as a PUP and it is not causing any issues, you can ignore it or add to it's exclusion list.

More information and Best practices for downloading software can be found in this topic:
