Hi everyone

One of my clients servers is flagging tonnes of errors for Sharepoint in the Application logs. The title reads:

Error: 17300, Severity: 16, State: 1. (Params:). The error is printed in terse mode because there was error during formatting. Tracing, ETW, notifications etc are skipped.

The detailed view is this:

- System

      [ Name] MSSQL$SHAREPOINT
    - EventID 18053

Everything is functioning normally as far as the business is concerned but it is generating so many logs that my monitoring system refuses to give me a proper read out of errors due to the sheer volume of errors being reported.

I did not set the server up and Sharepoint is not my forte, can somebody please assist me with diagnosing the problem.

Thanks

Mark

error 17300, An attempt to run a new system task failed because of insufficient memory or because the number of configured sessions in the server was exceeded.

MSSQLSERVER_17300

check if there has some sort of firewall between the internet and your SQL server. also use SBS BPA diagnostic tool to check.

Using the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard Best Practices Analyzer

Best,
