Is it possible to email a Windows Media Player (9) music file to someone. They're saved on my computer (Windows 98SE) as player icons, so I can't copy as a link. When I try to send them as an attachment, I get an error message saying Internet Explorer can't open the page. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.

Hello,

You could always try putting the music file into a .zip file. Also, many email services won't allow attatchments that are large. For example, Yahoo only allows a 10MB limit.

Hope this helps,

So I'm still right, cause I could have been wrong.

What is the file extension (file type) and what is the size of the file you want to attach?
Regards,
John

.wma open in windows media player not IE.

Try right clicking on file & choose open with windows media player.

You could convert the .wma to .mp3 & zip them & attach them.

.mp3 will open with Real Player.
I don't know if WMP will play mp3 or not.
It might.
It might be it plays mp3 but won't play mp4.

mp3 has a smaller file size than .wma files.

Learn to use Google Search.  :busy:

Make full system images to restore to if your computer goes bonkers.
