Good Evening -

If it is a mobiile device (examples - ipad, phone, etc) please tell me so we can move it to the correct area, or the solutions I find relate to  Windows 2000 rather than Windows 7.

This is usually the complete 797 error message.

"Error 797: The connection failed because the modem or other connecting device failed.

Please make sure that the modem or other connecting device is installed."

The error message may alter just a bit, but the one above is a Generic M/soft error for Windows 2000.

It could be as simple as updating software, or a parts failure ...........

Thank you -
