I have a 2542 hp all in one printer that is connected to my win 7 asus i3 laptop, but wont print. I reinstalled the printer software 5 times, still no luck, but the scan mode works. ive tried almost everthing. my roommate lets me install the software on her laptop that's running win 7, and the wireless conection works good and printing is great on hers.  any ideas how to get the proper connections on my laptop to the printer? thank u

You may need to designate your HP 2542 printer via Control Panel as your default printer.

Go to Control Panel, select Devices and Printers, right-click on the desired printer, and then select "Set as Default Printer".
