Hello, first post here.  I read about the scary potentially harmful disadvantages of ComboFix unfortunately way after the program was already running and i started getting freaked out by weird processes and an unidentified network access lol. Well, suffice it to say I had no problems running it. PC seems to be running well and I have my combofix logs now.  I am just wondering if theres anything I can do now, or if an expert could give me some further instruction. I did have one concern about something called adobepdf.dll getting deleted. I am not sure if that has anything to do with my adobe reader at least I hope not.  anyway, below are my logs any advice is greatly appreciated.

Yes, I completely understand I am total idiot for running this program without expert supervision, but I knew better than to have conflicting security programs. However, thank god I didn't run into disastrous problems.  yet anyway. Few questions I have are:

1. What are Orphans?

Toolbar-Locked - (no file)
HKCU-Run-VDownloader - C:\Program Files\VDownloader\VDownloader.exe
MSConfigStartUp-BackgroundContainerV2 - C:\Users\jdknaak\AppData\Local\Conduit\BackgroundContainer\BackgroundContainer.dll
MSConfigStartUp-Skype - C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe

2. Were the following deletions necessary for my computer to run properly?

C:\ProgramData\1400917127.bdinstall.bin
C:\Users\jdknaak\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\{0F51481C-6636-4804-9078-6B808F6B607B}.xps
C:\Windows\system32\AdobePDF.dll

3. Do I or did I previously even have any malware, and if so how do I make sure it is gone forever?

4. After uninstalling combofix using the proper command line uninstall of " combofix /uninstall " I still notice a weird process in my task manager labeled CF10046.3XE with a description of Windows Command Processor. what the heck is that?

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan again:

  • Download DDS by sUBs from the following link if you no longer have it available and save it to your destop.

    DDS.com Download Link
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.

  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
