My wife and I are looking to switch browsers and we are wondering the best way to go. She has Vista and I am running Windows 8. For the last year we have been using Pale Moon, but recently we have been getting a lot of disconnect so looking for change. Not interested in IE so could someone please what may be the best way to go? Thank you!

Firefox and Chrome are reliable and popular. My personal preference is for Firefox but that isn't everybody's choice.

But are you sure that the problem is with your existing browser ?  Disconnects are usually due to problems with the connection between your router and your ISP, often with the telephone line. Worth checking things like the plugs, cables and the filter, and if they are all in good condition give your ISP or telephone supplier a ring to see if there are any faults on the line.
