I  have a windows update error, 8007370B for my copy of Windows 7, 64bit version. Something about this error has caused office 2013 not to work. I tried fixing this error using the MS knowledge base articles and downloads. They had me download a windows update repair program, but it did not work.

I contacted Microsoft help desk and they uninstalled office 2013 and tried to reinstall it, but the re-installation failed with a 30175-4 error. I was instructed to contact a different tech because it was a windows update error. That tech refused to help me unless I purchased one of their help desk products for $99 or $149. I thought I would try to see if someone can help me fix the issue myself before I pay them to fix it.

Can anyone guide me through this repair? I can do a system restore, but I am afraid this issue will cause problems with the restore and I want to avoid going back that far in time (July 2014) if I can help it.
