Hello.

After trying for 2 Days to get my PC back,... i decided that i Need help. :-)

In some German Forums there wasnt a help avaible. My Englisch skills are not the best, but i will try my best.

I was playing BF3 as the Virus Pops up. I got the Viros often so i wasnt that surprised...

Until now i was just to Switch off my Internet Modem and pull the Internet Cabel out of my PC. Restart. Virus "gone" and i can set an Rescuepoint and load old Parameters. Now the Virus is gone. (If i Switch on the Modem and put the Internetcabel on my Computer again the Virus will directly Pops up again)

But now it isnt gone with that trick.

I cant start with Save Windows Mode. I installed a new Windows7 on it as i thought that there is no other way. The infected Windows is still on it. If i start the infected - Virus. The new Installed is not.

I tried the Hitman Pro Kickstart, but even i follow the Guides, even on YouTube. The PC cant start it: Non-NTFS Partition or encryted dist is detected. Failed to boot!

Is there an Way to get this damn Virus away?

I would be appreciate for any help.

I have Windows 7 64bit on it.

If you need more Information i will try to find out and tell you. :-)

Thx a lot.

Hi Kingwolf85,

FRST Scan from RECOVERY Environment on Vista, 7, and 8:

On a clean machine, please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to a flash drive.
Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

To enter System Recovery Options from the Advanced Boot Options:

  • Restart the computer.
  • As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until Advanced Boot Options appears.
  • Use the arrow keys to select the Repair your computer menu item.
  • Select US as the keyboard language settings, and then click Next.
  • Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
  • Select your user account an click Next.

Note: In case you can not enter System Recovery Options by using F8 method, you can use Windows installation disc, or make a repair disc. Any Windows installation disc or a repair disc made on another computer can be used.
To make a repair disk on Windows 7 consult: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2083-system-repair-disc-create.html

To enter System Recovery Options by using Windows installation disc:

  • Insert the installation disc.
  • Restart your computer.
  • If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc. If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or DVD, check your BIOS settings.
  • Click Repair your computer.
  • Select US as the keyboard language settings, and then click Next.
  • Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
  • Select your user account and click Next.

==========

On the System Recovery Options menu you will get the following options:

Startup Repair
System Restore
Windows Complete PC Restore
Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
Command Prompt

Select Command Prompt

==========

Once in the Command Prompt:

  • In the command window type in notepad and press Enter.
  • The notepad opens. Under File menu select Open.
  • Select "Computer" and find your flash drive letter and close the notepad.
  • In the command window type e:\frst (for x64 bit version type e:\frst64) and press Enter
Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.
  • The tool will start to run.
  • When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the flash drive. Please copy and paste it to your reply.

Hello Toffee.

Thank you a lot for your time and your help. Really Thx.

I will try to tell you what i did. I have a Problem at the end. Think so.

I download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool from my safe pc and saved it directly to my USB Flashdrive.

This stick is now in the PC that includes the infected Windowssystem (one morewhich is not infected)

To enter System Recovery Options by using Windows installation disc

Insert Disc, restart the System and getting to the System Recovery Options with the Point Command Prompt included.

I open the Notepad to look the letter for my usb drive: j

But when i closed it and try to enter it... i cant enter an simple : in the command prompt

j:\frst64 i have to give in... but i dont find the way to set an doublepoint( :) in it. I Switch the Keyboardsetting to US and i also tried it once again with the normal German Options. Normaly i can set an : if i want, like now here... but in the Command Promt i always get an > (not the same Symbol but anything in that direction)

Do i something wrong? I think ist a terrible small failer from my side, or ?

And i want to say again... Thank you for your advice and help. I am at Zero with my nerves. ^^

___

Yes it was a small failer from my side, Forget it, i got it already, running the test now. ^^ BRB.

Hi Kingwolf85,

Glad to hear you managed to get it working :)

Running a fix Using Farbar's Recovery Scan Tool in the Recovery Environment:

  • From your clean computer, press the windows key Windows_Logo_key.gif + r on your keyboard at the same time. Type in notepad and press Enter.
  • Please copy and paste the contents of the below code box into the open notepad and save it on the flashdrive as fixlist.txt
Startup: C:\Users\Kingwolf\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\jmqbj6j6e.lnk

  • Insert the USB device into your infected computer
  • Follow the process below to enter the System Recovery Options using one of the three options listed, then running Farbar's Recovery Scan Tool.

On a clean machine, please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to the USB (feel free to use the frst download from my last instructions, if you still have it on the USB).

==========

On the System Recovery Options menu you will get the following options:

Startup Repair
System Restore
Windows Complete PC Restore
Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
Command Prompt

Select Command Prompt

==========

  • Press the Fix button just once and wait, the program will automatically launch fixlist.txt.
  • It will make a log (Fixlog.txt) on the flash drive. Please copy and paste it to your reply.

Are you able to boot into normal mode after this fix?

Hi Kingwolf,

Haha, I'm glad to hear that it worked. I'm okay on the marriage proposal though :P
Yes, I did want to see the fixlog, thank you for that. I did indeed write the fix myself, using the information from the log requested.

Lets get an overview of the system now normal mode is working:
Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system, download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  • Right-click FRST then click "Run as administrator" (XP users: click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • When finished, it will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool was run from.
  • Please copy and paste the log in your next reply.

Note 2: The first time the tool is run it generates another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory the tool was run from). Please also paste that, along with the FRST.txt into your next reply.

--------------

To recap, in your next reply I would like to see the following. Make sure to copy & paste them unless I ask otherwise:

  • FRST.txt
  • Addition.txt

Hi Kingwolf85,

Did you install, do you or recognise GetPrivate?

We need to run a fix with FRST:

  • Press the windows key Windows_Logo_key.gif + r on your keyboard at the same time. Type in notepad and press Enter.
  • Copy and paste the script below in the notepad document:
Google Update Helper (x32 Version: 1.3.23.0 - SaveSense) Hidden <==== ATTENTION
Task: C:\Windows\Tasks\DRIVERfighter Auto Start.job => ?
Startup: C:\Users\Kingwolf\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\C9BA814EC.lnk

  • Save the file to your desktop and name it as fixlist.txt

Note: It's important that both files, FRST.exe/FRST64.exe and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system

  • Run FRST.exe/FRST64.exe and press the Fix button just once and wait
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally, then let the tool complete its run
  • When finished, FRST will generate a log (Fixlog.txt) in the same location the tool was run.
  • Please copy and paste the log in your next reply.

--------------

We need to remove programs using "Programs and Features"

Click the "Start" orb on the taskbar, and then click the "Control Panel" button.

  • If you use Category mode, click on Uninstall a Program.
  • If you use Icons mode, click on Program and Features.

A list of programs installed will be "populated" (this may take a bit of time).
If they exist, uninstall the following by clicking on the below entries and selecting "Remove":

Google Update Helper
Interenet Optimizer

Additional instructions can be found here if needed.

--------------

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop.

  • Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator
  • Click on the Scan button.
  • AdwCleaner will begin...be patient as the scan may take some time to complete.
  • After the scan has finished, click on the Report button...a logfile (AdwCleaner[R#].txt) will open in Notepad for review (where the largest value of # represents the most recent report).
  • The contents of the log file may be confusing. Unless you see a program name that you know should not be removed, don't worry about it. If you see an entry you want to keep, let me know about it.
  • Copy and paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.
  • A copy of all logfiles are saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder which was created when running the tool.

--------------

To recap, in your next reply I would like to see the following. Make sure to copy & paste them unless I ask otherwise:

  • Fixlog.txt
  • AdwCleaner scan log
