I admit I forgot the password on my laptop. I typically log in by fingerprint so it's not like I use my password very much.

However, I was trying to remote to my laptop from work just now using TeamViewer and realized I don't remember my password.

FAIL.

I recall having a utility back in the day that I could use from a boot CD that would let me ad an Administrator account and change the password.

I'm also open to any other ideas. I don't want to have to re-install Windows 8.1

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

P.S. No, I am NOT going to play WoD on my lunch hour (unless I can get in to my laptop before then!)

I believe you are looking for this. Not sure about 8.1 because if you login with a Live account then I believe the drive is encrypted. I don't think that should affect enabling the Administrator Account though.

Thanks for the link. I changed my log in from a Live account to a local account. The idea of having to check in with the NSA to log in to my computer just got tired.
