I have Windows 7 and Norton 360......as recommended I disabled the Norton 360 antivirus auto-protection but still get the message that my security settings are preventing the file from downloading. What else needs to be done to allow the download?

Hi Neil

Can i know why you need Combofix ? Because running ComboFix without supervision can cause damage.

I'm trying to clean up my computer because it's running very slowly and there is something new in there that is continuously running keeping the CPU usage high....and I haven't added any new software for a long time.

Your browser settings have probably been changed, I would reset whatever browser you use.

Combofix is not designed to run as a tool to check for malware, it only targets certain infections. Malwarebytes, ESET online scanner and Emsisoft are much better general tools to check for infection. You'll have better luck with them.

Neil, if you continue to have dramas, simply post back in the AII Forum  and we will have a closer look for you.

Good Luck.
