Guys,

I need help to convert a ADSL modem as router.

My previous internet service provider was giving me a DSL line with modem.

I have changed my ISP now, and they just supplied a LAN wire with a static IP.

Can I use my old modem as router? If yes how?

It has one DSL port, 4 LAN port and wireless service.

I believe DSL will be of no use now...

Please help.

What is the make and model of them modem? And the answer is maybe but I sort of doubt it. You'd be better buying an inexpensive wireless router.

Hope this helps thumbup.gif

"Can I use my old modem as router?"

No you can not use your dsl modem router as a router.  You need a router that has a rj45 wan port not a rj11 wan port.  You will have to buy a new router.
