Hello,

I've been seeing Yubikey around for awhile, and now there's FIDO. What is the actual difference between these two technologies, why is FIDO so much cheaper than a Yubikey, and how does one decide which version is the right one for their situation?

This page shows the differences between the Yubikey types, scroll down for the chart.  The Neo supports everything and is $50, you can get it from Amazon with free shipping if you're a prime member, the Neo-N doesn't have near field.  I just upgrade from my Standard, but haven't gotten around to setting it up with everything, just LastPass, which allows me to use multiple Yubikeys if I want.  Yubico sent me an e-mail to a PDF a few days after the purchase about how to set it up with FIDO, which I haven't done yet.
