I can't log in to Outlook for 3 days. When I type in my log in details a page opens saying "This web page is not available" and error code DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG

My husband hasn't been able to log in for 2 weeks but can on his phone (I don't have a smart phone).

g'day ...try this for me.....

open a command......start button....type cmd in the search programs and files box....click on cmd......after the flashing cursor type in     ipconfig /flushdns

.....and yes...there IS a space between the g and the /

you will receive a message similar to ....

Windows IP Configuration

Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.

Let me know if this helps

FWIW:  http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/539036/dns-probe-finished-bad-config-error/page-1

Having the same problem on two different computer systems would lead me to an examination of the hardware used for connectivity...the router/modem

Following hamluis's sage advice....reset your modem/router.

Turn the box off....and leave it off for a few minutes......then turn it back on again.

OR......give me the name and model number of the modem/router.

Sorry I haven't given any feedback on this problem. I found a temporary solution, that if I turn off the firewall I can log in. So I have done that briefly to check emails then turn it back on again. What does this mean?

Louis, regarding the modem, I live in NSW Australia and I'm having the National Broadband Network connected this week which will change everything. Currently my internet connection flicks on and off a million times a day hence my area is one of the first to be changed to the NBN. If I still have problems after that, I'll check your link again. Thanks so much.

Cheers, Jenny

Seeing the NBN is about to visit your doorstep, we will hold our breath until that connection is in and running.

Hope it goes well for you mate !

If you are still experiencing any dramas post nbn connection....reply back here and we can look further for you.

Long time resident of NSW here also Jenny....just a touch further west than you......the only way I will ever see anything of the nbn will be to take a 7 hour drive to Sydney !

Good luck,

Brian
