Although it would be best to receive direct confirmation from Xplode, the author site seems to have returned to v3.311 from v4.002.

These unfortunate steps backwards are always regrettable but ultimately Xplode must have thought this is best for the public and this very worthy utility.

Best wishes to Xplode.

All viruses are malware but not all malware are viruses and if the malware doesn't self replicate it just isn't a virus.

Ah yes, I hadn't noticed - downloaded this morning to go onto a flash drive for a friend. Admin at the website says:

Yes, due to some bugs and false positives with v4, Xplode downgraded AdwCleaner to v3.311 a couple days ago while he tries to fix those issues.

Malware Removal Team Helpers were notified in a private discussion topic...guess Xplode forgot to put a note on his download page.

Thanks for the heads-up.  I would not have noticed otherwise..

Cheers,

You're quite welcome.

If anyone sees that Xplode has re-released version 4, please update this thread.

Thank you.

Folks can always keep checking here as well as the main site as they both will have the official version listed. If I hear anything in regards to a release date I will also post back here.
