Greetings to all here. I am generally OK with solving my PC problems but I have one or two that I need help with. So, I have come to the fount of all knowledge seeking answers. I might add that it is not my PC with the problem but one that belongs to the husband of my recently married granddaughter.

Imagine if you will a laptop with no antivirus program installed sitting on a college LAN and having visited every spyware peddling site possible. That is my challange. The PC had 20.2gb loaded on a 20.4gb hard drive. Also imagine it was so loaded with malware that things like Windows Explorer, My Computer, SpyBot (yes he had it installed), etc. wouldn't even load. Well a good dose of Safe Mode got SpyBot running and after updating it to the latest version from my PC and bringing it up to date on the definitions, I cleared 2405 objects.
That PC runs like new now.

BUT, I have two objects that keep on coming back after being cleared by both SpyBot and AdAware. There is where I am now and I will address it to the proper forum.

I feel fortunate to have found this site and I am looking forward to getting some good help here. Oh, yes, I am 75 years old and am having the time of my life.

Thanks to all,

Roy
