Hi, I have an eMachines E527. It used to have an OEM installation of Windows 7, now I installed Windows XP. Of course, there are some drivers missing. I successfully installed the audio and ethernet drivers, But the wireless and display drivers are missing. I probably can improvise on the display, but I need help finding drivers for the WLAN (Atheros AR5B95).

See if this one works for you. After clicking the green download button, it takes awhile before the download begins.

I tried installing it from the right click menu, but nothing happens. I try installing it from the found new hardware wizard, get "The specified location does not contain information about your hardware."

Also, I'd rather have the correct display drivers, now that I think about it.

In Device Manager right click the wireless adapter or device with the yellow exclamation mark. Select Properties and under the details tab select Hardware ID's in the dropdown box. Copy and paste the first line in your next post.

According to the Vendor code, it is a Realtek and not an Atheros chipset. Try the driver here.

Glad it worked for you and thank you for the update.

Edit: By the way, I forgot, do you still need the display driver?

That is not the ID of the Graphics Card. I need the graphics card the computer uses. It should be under Display Adapter in Device Manager.
