is a needed topic I think. And I would ask all try to limit themselves for this, not-so-easy task.


A "Stand-Alone" machine has no internet access. So, forget Web-Based operations, particularly Updating!


I managed to do a Clean Install with Updates. So I can vouch it IS difficult the first time, but do-able today.


After the Win98SE CD install you will need the updates.

Previously you had only MDGx and MSFN. I nearly went crazy going round and round in circles there.

But now the updates can be had in one package !

Remember, Win98SE is "King" of all Win98x
