... i've just noticed recently that whenever a window pops up with the typical OK/Cancel options, my cursor jumps to the OK button when the window appears.

is this a windows setting i can click off? ... running Windows 2000

thanks

Hi

I'm not sure for definite if it is the same in Wondows 2000, but if you go to the Control panel, and look for the mouse. If you open that up, there will probably be a tab like 'pointer options' or 'motion' or something like that.

There should be an option called 'snap-to' or 'smart move' and just disable it.

I hope that helps, sorry if the instructions aren't completely accurate, but I hope you manage to find it.

Yep, thanks a lot!
was in pointer options, ... "snap to default button"
was a pain, just seemed to have started doing that
and eversince i've just not bothered to look for the setting

was a pain, i'd end up with my mouse at the top of my desk eventually from having it jump down to ok every time something popped up.

thanks.
