I am trying to uninstall an old printer from my computer but I still have 2 items in the print queue. It tells me I have to delete the items before I can uninstall but I get an error when I try to delete the items. Can someone tell me how to get rid of the print queue?

Hi,

Let's see if this will help...

Open Notepad, Copy/Paste the text between the dashed lines into Notepad.

------------------

net stop spooler
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.shd
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.spl
net start spooler

------------------

Save the file to your desktop as PrintDelete.cmd

Right click the file and click Run as administrator

Click Yes if you are prompted by User Account Control

When the Command window closes, restart your computer and the print queue should be clean.

Best of luck and Please keep BC posted!

It doesn't always take a B.F.H to persuade a stubborn computer!
