I haven't seen anything about it. You say it's an rpg?

I found the site: Silk Road Online

I'll probably download it later and check it out. I haven't heard anything about it on any of my gaming sites though.....

really? I haven't noticed lag that bad around monsters but I'm still exploring how the game works and I'm only like level 3-5.

The graphics are not bad though, especially after seeing the default graphics when the game starts up only to see the entire world pretty much change.

but its really hard to get a decent opinion about the game because the only time I can seem to connect to the game easily is at night, all the servers are crowded pretty much all other times of the day.

the reason y Silk ROad staff wont fix the lag is because:

other ppl are paying to play the game and if other ppl are paying some ppl who want to play for free can

the staff is already getting thousands of dollars each month or week

Hey I'm glad someone started this topic. Silkroad Online is very interesting... very grindy BUT also very cool/fun at the same time. I'm only lvl 17, but I know that once you get to lvl 20 (as Game Assistance suggested), you get to choose between Hunter, Trader or Thief and then each of these balance each other - it's very interesting. I don't know, the graphics are so-so and again, it's very grindy and sometimes you can't connect to the server, but it seems to be fun still.

On a side note, it's been in the top 10 on Xfire (check out xfire.com) for some time now, which boggles my mind, considering the fact that it's an Asian game and the grindiness, etc. Also, if you watch the trailer for this game, as well as read up on it, you find that it has three races - Roman, Chinese and Arabian (I'm not completely sure on the last one), but if you play the game right now, which I believe is still on Beta (I think?), you can only play Chinese. So, I'm still wondering when the full game will come out? Anyway, great yet strange game...

so-so graphics? I thought there was a huge difference between the graphics when I first loaded up the game and when I changed the graphics to 'high'.

That doesn't mean that the graphics of the game are great. That being said, they're definitely better than most free mmo's.

Is this game always going to be free or is it just free during beta?

I'm not sure... it's hard to figure out any information like that because their website doesn't really say anything about, like, when the full game is coming out, if it will be completely free, etc.
