--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I started experiecing problems downloading large files...anything over 700mb or so would be corrupt. Downloading say a 350mb avi file would be fine, a file the size of say 700mb or more would always be corrupt...it would not play. Other people could download the same avi and have no problems....and it wasn't a codec problem.

So I decided to virus scan using my AVG free edition...it picked up nothing. Then i downloaded and scanned using NOD32 (trial version so far). It found the following: (edited slightly due to big size of log):

I have since rebooted in safe mode and turned off system restore. The i rescanned using NOD, also used ad-aware, spybot search and destroy, euwido and another anti trojan app. Now when I scan, nothing turns up so seemingly it has removed the "infection"....as per the below scan, nothing shows up:

However, I still have the same problem when downloading files. I have read somewhere that a trojan/virus may corrupt downloads, in particular download manager programs which I use. I have been using internet download accelerator (IDA). Now when I install another one such as DAP (download accelerator program), or even GetRight, they both fail to even download anything at all, simply freezing up. I am thinking that either there is still something there, or there is some sort of residual effect from the trojan.....does anyone have an idea?

below is my hijack this log:

Hi,

The forums are really busy, that explains why logs get behind. If you still need some help, please start with posting a new hijackthislog in this thread. Don't start with a new thread.
Then I'll take a look.

The reason why you can't download larger files is because of your Zonealarm. Had this issue as well in the past when I had zonealarm installed.
