Dear All,

My lenovo yoga 2 pro has been crashing recently. There are two typical events that precede this. In the first instance, I get the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error and BSOD and restart. However, I also get a crash sometimes when trying to wake my computer up from hibernation. I don't know if these two processes are related but I don't want to lose any of my work!

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks

First of all, if you're concerned about losing data back it up to off-disc media. You should have a regular backup scheme in place anyway.

Second, Download BlueScreenView:

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.

when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All

Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt

Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply

Thanks for the reply. I followed the instructions but it came up blank. I assume this has something to do with me running CCleaner after the most recent crash (my bad). Should i wait until the next one and post the results?

Yes please. Wait a couple of days and see if there is more than one. I'd like to see a few of them.

Thank you for your patience. In the meantime, I uninstalled utorrent which helped a bit but i am still experiencing crashes. Here's the bluescreenview log:

1) What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

2) Please look in device manager - are there any yellow or red symbols?

3) Please go to the Lenovo website (http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-2-pro-lenovo?tabName=downloads) and download and install the latest drivers (especially chipset, networking, and bios).

4) Stop using hibernation.

Hi hallixrap ^_^,

Kindly follow the instructions first provided by ALLAN. If the problem is still not solved

I would need the Dump files in order to analyse the situation your system is in and help cure it ^_^.

Please note that without the Dump files, I can't help you out.

Kindly ZIP Up the dump files and then upload them to a File Hoster like Mediafire. The Dump files are located in "C:\Windows\Minidumps". You might need to copy them to some other folder before zipping them due to permission issues.

Once they are uploaded, paste back a link to it here and I would be glad to analyse them ^_^

Do not run CCleaner till the issue is not solved as it would delete the dump files.

Thanks guys,

Sorry for the lack of update, i thought updating the drivers sorted it out for a while but been getting some more crashes. Now sometimes when trying to restart the computer, on top of everything else. Losing my work has been less than ideal as you can imagine.

In response, I can't pinpoint the day it started, Nothing of note in the device manager, i've stopped using hibernate and i downloaded new drivers but still crashes. Here's the uploaded dump files:  https://www.mediafire.com/?i7qnmg9wnmp6dpb
