My droid ultra contracted a virus.
Earnestly trying to fix myself, to no avail.
Not a hand but a hint will suffice.

Next time install a real time scanner like AVG AntiVirus Security. This helps prevent these sorts of infections. Sadly, once malware is installed you can no longer trust the security of your device until it is reset. Android antivirus applications can detect malicious files before they are executed, but are not very effective at all for removing them.

I know it's a bit late but start in safe mode to prevent the malware from starting. Then use a file explorer to find it and delete it.
