ok first off, this may be in the wrong place, but it does involve a windows xp home so....
my problem is that my computer won't play any type of video file, it has worked before but it just recenlty stopped. Whenever i go to play a movie/video (mostly on windows media player 10) the computer restarts. this happens even websites with videos files on them, and i have tried reinstalling WMP.
i was also wondering if you could get sounds to work in safe mode. When i was....experienting i guesss you could say, with the probelm i found that safe mode does play these files....

any advice?

thanks for the help
